Bruce Henry Succeeds in Whistleblowing Claim for Care Worker

Kenworthy's Chambers | June 22, 2016

Bruce Henry, instructed by Stephensons LLP, has succeeded at Liverpool Employment Tribunal in a Whistleblowing Claim brought by a care worker who was sacked from her post at the Orchard Manor Care Home in Chester.

She blew the whistle to the Care Quality Commission when she was told it was policy of the home to only allow one incontinent product per resident at night.

She sought help from her local MP, Justin Madders, who encouraged her to take legal advice.

There will be a remedy hearing.

The decision can be found here and the case was reported in the Chester Standard.
