What does this seminar cover?

‘The Basics of Clinical Negligence Claims’ covers the fundamental principles that were laid in 1957 in the case of Bolam v Friern Hospital Management Committee. Like, how to establish a breach of duty and causation, the claimant must satisfy the court that the treating Physician failed to exercise the appropriate degree of professional skill and care. Other important cases like Joyce v Wandsborough Health Authority in 1996 will be examined to learn the fundamental principles in clinical negligence cases.

Attendees will gain a brief history of how causation has been judged over time as well as an understanding of the basics of breach of duty, causation, and quantum.

Haroon Rashid will also provide effective case preparation tips in addition to highlighting the difficulties faced by claimants wanting to bring clinical negligence claims.
