Employment Law

Matthew Todd represents employers and employees in all areas of Employment Law, including discrimination cases, equal pay, unfair dismissal, and TUPE.

During his pupillage Employment Barrister Matthew Todd assisted Supervisor Bruce Henry with written advice on potential claims and observed Employment Law cases to help master preparation for tribunals and pick up different advocacy styles.

Prior to pupillage Matthew worked for several years on major group equal pay claims, including Ahmed v Sainsburys Supermarkets and Brierley v Asda Stores. This has given him a significant insight into both equal pay law, in which he retains an active interest, and the practicalities of group litigation.
