Criminal Barrister Chudi Grant recently defended 54-year-old, Ranjit Olk, at Derby Crown Court.

Ranjit Olk was charged with possessing a bladed article after he was arrested drunkenly shouting and waving a 12 inch blade and hammer in the street.

The client had 33 previous convictions and 48 previous offences, most of which committed whilst drunk.

Chudi Grant defended the client during his sentence, expressing how since the arrest he has checked himself into rehab and is dealing with his alcoholism.

Judge Peter Cooke sentenced Ranjit Olk to a seven month sentence, suspended for two years.
