She qualified as a Solicitor in 1989 and spent many years in a busy inner-city practice, including 15 years as an Equity Partner.

As a Family Barrister, she has advised on Human Rights issues involving European Provisions in the Family Proceedings Court, County Court and the High Court.

Carol Micah is a fully qualified Mediator, after successfully completing Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Mediation training in 2012.

Her expertise in Family Law covers coercion and control. She is regularly instructed on contact and residence cases – orders which relate to who the children spend time with.

She represents parents and other family members in private law proceedings, emergency orders such as Prohibited Steps Orders, and Non-Molestation Applications (both for the applicant and respondent).

Barrister Carol Micah has gained a reputation for representing parents with social and mental health problems, in both Public and Private Law proceedings.

Carol has over 20 years of experience working with clients with mental health issues. This includes advising and assisting on mental health units.

She has acted on many occasions for the Official Solicitor – the person appointed as a litigation friend for those lacking the capacity to conduct family proceedings themselves. Acting both on an independent basis and directly for numerous clients within family law proceedings.

Carol has completed the Law Society three-day mental health panel application.
