• R V MT: Criminal Barrister Zahra Khan prosecuted Malachi Tulloch for the fraudulent evasion of a prohibition on the importation of cannabis and assaulting a Revenue and Customs Officer. He was sentenced to 22 months in prison, suspended for two years, as reported in the MEN.
• R v JK: Zahra Khan secured an acquittal at Liverpool Crown Court for an offence of strangulation, despite the client pleading guilty to an ABH during the same incident.
• R v MH: Criminal Barrister Zahra Khan secured a suspended sentence for a second offence of possession of an offensive weapon, attracting a mandatory minimum sentence. She successfully prevented the SSO from being activated upon the subsequent breach of the order.
• R v EE: Secured a three-year community order for a client who pleaded guilty to attempt incitement of a girl under 13 with a starting point of 5 years imprisonment
• Zahra Khan successfully negotiated agreed final orders in Children Act and Family Law Act proceedings.
