Prior to joining Kenworthy's Chambers in January 2008, Rachael Lewis studied the BVC at Manchester Metropolitan University as a Queen Mother's scholar. She achieved the highest overall mark on the course and was awarded the Baron Dr Ver Heyden de Lancey Prize.

Rachael practises in all areas of family law and has particular experience in the following areas:
- Private law children proceedings including directions hearings, interim contested hearings and final hearings
- Public law children proceedings
- Applications for non-molestation and occupations orders including contested final hearings
- Ancillary relief including first appointments, FDR hearings and final hearings
- Inheritance Act claims
- Hearings arising out of non-payment of child support maintenance
