Anisa Niaz

Practice:

Anisa Niaz's practice area is Employment Law, including Civil Penalties against employers on the grounds of employing illegal workers. 

Experience:

Anisa Niaz has a background in employment discrimination and immigration policy.  She has worked as a policy officer at renowned non-governmental organisations such as JUSTICE , the all party law reform and human rights organisation, the European Council on Refugees and Exiles (ECRE) and the Organisation for Security and Co-Operation in Europe's Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE-ODIHR).  She has also worked as a discrimination legal policy consultant and headed up consultation projects on the Equality and Human Rights Commission, prior to its existence, and on the ability of Citizens Advice and Bureaus around the UK to provide adequate representation in employment discrimination cases.

She was called to the Bar in October 2004 and went on to complete pupillage at Doughty Street Chambers in London.  She joined Kenworthy's Chambers in January 2007.
