Direct Access

Lee is happy to accept instructions on a Direct Access basis in appropriate cases in the following areas.

Employment Law

Lee can represent both employees and employers in respect of Employment Cases. This could be limited in respect of a single hearing such as a judicial mediation, a preliminary hearing, a full trial or simply a remedies hearing. Please contact chambers to discuss this in more detail about what the options are.

Professional Discipline and Regulatory Matters

He is also wiling to accept instructions directly from members of the public without a solicitor for people facing regulatory hearings. He understands that this can be a particularly stressful time for the registrant and his / her family. It can lead to significant savings in terms of costs as there is no need to have a solicitor. However, this will always need to be judged on a case by case and he will inform you if a solicitor is required.

The areas Lee is willing to assist with include:

• Nurses and midwifes with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) fitness to practise hearings which he takes a strong personal interest in as there is a strong tradition of nursing in his family,
• Doctors with General Medical Council (GMC) hearings,
• Teachers in relation to the Teaching Regulation Agency,
• Dentists and other dental professionals with the General Dental Council (GDC),
• All employees subject to regulation by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC),
• Optometrists, dispensing opticians, student opticians and optical businesses registered with the General Optical Council, and;
• pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy premises regulated by the General Pharmaceutical Council.

Please contact Chambers to discuss fees and a potential free no obligation quote to estimate the cost of the work
