Simon Blakebrough

Crime

Simon defends and prosecutes in all types of criminal cases, since qualifying as a solicitor advocate in 2003, he has regularly appeared in the Crown Court and Court of Appeal.

Simon is a Category 4 prosecutor and is on the CPS Rape and Child Sexual Abuse List. He is therefore authorised to undertake serious prosecutions on behalf of the Crown Prosecution Service, including serious sexual offences.

Simon has been involved in several high profile cases whilst as a solicitor and more recently at the Bar. These include several cases of murder, rape and serious fraud.

In 2005, he successfully defended the first case in this country of a man charged with murder on the grounds of sleepwalking.
