Patrick Cassidy Successfully Represents Doctor at Interim Panel Review

Kenworthy's Chambers | November 19, 2020

Regulatory Barrister Patrick Cassidy, instructed by BMA Law Ltd, successfully represented a Doctor at an Interim Review hearing before the Interim Orders Panel via Skype.

The General Medical Council (GMC) referred the case. Allegedly, patient safety issues occurred whilst the Doctor was working as a Registrar, which lead to a significant incident where a patient's life was said to be in danger.

The General Medical Council (GMC) sought conditions on the Doctor's registration from the Panel.

The panel were told how the Doctor had now moved into GP training and all further reports about her were positive.

Following conclusion of the interim hearing, no order was made against the Doctor.

Working with Solicitors both nationally and across the Northwest, Patrick Cassidy has built up a varied Regulatory practice which includes regular appearances before The General Medical Council (GMC) and in the Medical Practitioners Tribunal.
