David Morton and Anthony Morris Successfully Defend Father and Son in Assault Trial at Minshull Street Crown

David Morton and Anthony Morris successfully co-defended a Father and Son following a 5-day trial at Minshull Street Crown Court. Mr Morton, representing the father was charged with Unlawful Wounding, contrary to section 20 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861 and Mr Morris, representing the son charged with Affray, contrary to section(1) of the Public Order Act 1986.

The clients were charged after a road traffic collision between the son and the complainant, causing a disagreement whilst exchanging insurance information; the son then called his father to the scene, where the alleged assault occurred. After hearing evidence from prosecution, defence and witnesses the Jury found both defendants Not Guilty.
