This team has been particularly successful in attracting work from employees who are facing criticism within inquisitorial proceedings. It is apparent to us that the crossover with our extensive criminal law speciality is of particular assistance here. We have been recruited by BPP and have an active partnership with Salford University to lecture upon Inquest Law and Health & Safety Criminal Law, and recently we celebrated Alan Wilson becoming an Assistant Deputy Coroner in Liverpool.

Members of the team have recently been involved in many cases involving deaths of pupils at school, mental health patients and prisoners in custody, and industrial deaths. Many of the team can be instructed directly by families seeking sensitive but determined representation.
