Experience

Nicola joined Chambers in October 2017 after completing a 10-month pupillage under the supervision of Deputy Head of Chambers, Patrick Cassidy.

After completing her BPTC Nicola took a gap year, travelling extensively in Australia, New Zealand and south-east Asia. She took advantage of her time abroad by completing placements with various private Chambers as well as a period working with the Department of Public Prosecutions in New South Wales, Australia.

Upon her return to the UK and prior to commencing Pupillage Nicola worked with a number of large Personal Injury firms, firstly as a Paralegal then subsequently spending a number of years as an in-house advocate specialising in credit hire and personal injury.

Nicola practices in civil litigation, criminal and family law and is keen to build her practice further in those areas.

Interests outside the law:
Nicola maintains strong links with her senior school, Wrekin College in Shropshire, where she sits on the committee and is currently vice-Chairman of the Old Wrekinian Association. It was during this time that her love of music developed as a chorister and talented jazz saxophonist.
Nicola is an avid supporter of the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, fostering dogs in training on an ongoing basis.
She is also a follower and season ticket holder of Liverpool Football Club, rarely missing a game.

Education:
LLB (Hons) - Liverpool John Moores University - Upper Second Class
BPTC - Manchester Metropolitan University - Very Competent
