Anisa Niaz has a background in employment discrimination. She has worked as a Policy Officer for renowned non-governmental organisations such as JUSTICE, the all party law reform and human rights organisation; the European Council on Refugees and Exiles (ECRE); and the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe's Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE-ODIHR).

Anisa was called to the Bar in October 2004 and went on to complete pupillage at Doughty Street Chambers in London. She joined Kenworthy's Chambers in January 2007.
